December Seminar & Dinner

 

Join us for an exciting tale of maritime history as John L. Busch recounts the history of the Savannah, the first trans-Atlantic steamship. The Savannah is a true slice of Americana having been designed and built in New York. The captain was proud of the ship but the crew, unimpressed by the political intrigue and innovative engineering that surrounded its design and construction, dubbed the Savannah "The Steam Coffin." Come hear who was right.

We meet at Katrinella's Bistro, Tuesday December 6th, at 5:30PM. Katrinella's is located in downtown Albany at 123-1/2 Madison Avenue.

Dinner is required for all attendees. The cost is $15 for ISA-ENYS members and $25 for non-members. New ISA-ENYS members attending their first event dine for FREE. Seating is limited to 18, so reservations are required. Please email president@isa-enys.org to reserve you seat and make your dinner selections (shown below).

Dinner is a Three Course offering and includes coffee or tea as your beverage. Alcoholic beverages may be ordered separately according to personal preference and are not included in the Dinner / Seminar pricing shown above.

Appetizer / Salad selections (pick one) include:

Shrimp Cocktail, Fresh Tomato / Basil & Mozzarella, Tossed Salad, Pasta Fagiole or Italian Wedding Soup

Dinner entree selections (pick one) include:

Salmon Giuseppe - Salmon sauteed with spinach, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers & asparagus over penne in creamy dijon mustard sauce with a hint of gorgonzola cheese.

Chicken or Veal Pesto - topped with eggplant, pesto & mozzarella over penne in a pink creamy pesto sauce.

Chicken or Veal Sorrento - breaded & topped with eggplant & mozzarella over penne in marinara sauce.

Chicken or Veal Tindari - sauteed with mushrooms, red onions, roasted red peppers over penne in a burgundy brown sauce with a hint of pesto.

Tortellini Ala Miguel - tossed with peppers, black olives, sun-dried tomatoes & sausage with mozzarella served in a sherry orange sauce.

Mussels Marchiata - sauteed with black olives, mushrooms, garlic, white onions, hot peppers & a hint of anchovies over penne in a marinara sauce.

Shrimp Ala Rosa - jumbo shrimp sauteed with white onions, garlic, capers, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts & fresh spinach over penne in a lemon butter sherry wine sauce.

Stuffed Eggplant - battered & rolled with ricotta cheese, spinach, broccoli & roasted red peppers topped with mozzarella, baked in marinara sauce & served over penne.

Fettuccinie Ala Fannucci - tossed with white onions, broccoli & bacon served in a creamy alfredo sauce with a hint of gorgonzola.
